Types of Level Design
Linear Story/ Level
The game I chose is the original Sonic the Hedgehog from the Sega Genesis. In the game, Sonic arrive on South Island and learn that Dr. Eggman is capturing the small animals of the Island. Eggman put the critters into his robots to fuel his armies and search the island for the Chaos Emeralds to rule the world. What level I like is the first one, Green Hill Zone, because it's a wild environment that is untouched by Human Civilizations. My Dislike are those Pittfalls near the end of Act 2 and the hidden spikes that ruin your momentum.
Modular Story/Level
The Modular game I chose is Batman: Akham Knight for the PlayStation 4. The story is that Gotham City is under attack by a mysterious army of mercenaries led by the Scarecrow and a new villain name Arkham Knight. Scarecrow threating to unleash a new fear toxin onto the city which cause a mass evacuation of civilians and leaves only the crooks and super-villains. Batman begins his mission of saving the city with help of his partners and police while being haunting by the ghost of his greatest enemy. What I like about the level design is Gotham City as a whole level, as a Fan of Batman, it was so cool to explore the whole city and you also drive the batmobile throughout the city while fighting crime. My dislikes are the Riddler trophy's, having to find them in order to get the true ending is so annoying.
