Why Writing in Games Matters
This Discussion is talking about writing in games and why its matter. I read an article talking about how stories in the game is critical in order to understand the game world. The problems of writing a narrative for the game is how players are attracted to the game. It usually be the game play that's get people to buy your game but sometime it also the story. The Author opinion still ringing in the heads of most Game Developers as they take on the challenge of crafting a new game using their ideas. Some companies don't take chances on new ideas or concepts because they prefer games with balls to the wall actions with Microtransactions to make money. If it explode and destroy the areas around you then companies will get behind them because Gamers will flock to that type of game where they require them to turn off their heads and enjoy some mindless fun. Over the years story driven games has gain some fans and won some awards. It gotten better when a game balance gameplay and story to keep the players engage. Nowadays Video games has becomes movies which in turn keep people on the edge of the seats and wonder how the story ends. Now that Gamers have the control to see what directions of the story that takes them, I believe the future is bright.
