What is game design?

Game Design is a creative process of crafting a story and brings it life to interact with it. Just like making a movie, a story board group brainstorm ideas on how to make the game a reality like what the story is going to be about and the characters role in it. The next step is creating the world in where the game takes place. What the settings is going to based on, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Post-Apocalypse, or real life. Once chosen the Artists draws concept arts of what the world is going to be and the Programmers create the gameplay of how to control the actions of your Avatar in the world. The Levels function as a area where you perform an actions to move the game and story forward. Each Levels can serve as scenes from movies where the characters are moving to your accord as the player goes to point A towards point B since it advance the story. The Players wanted to know how the story ended, So in order to see it, they have to play the game and experience the journey by the power of their actions.

There are many Genres in gaming that makes into a great story and a work of art. For example, Adventure, Racing, Open World, Horrior, Plantformer, RPG, and FPS. The Graphics are what capture people eyes and the visual presentations that leave them in awe. For that to happens, Programmer's work on games that are based on the technical power of different game consoles. Hence why the term Console wars are so popular because People wants to find the right console that can play the games that interest them but it up the Game Designers to make it happens.
