The Movie I went to watch this weekend was "The Northman", A Viking-Revenge Story. The Character I chose to talk about is Amleth, a Viking prince who witness his father murder and swear revenge on Uncle who did the deed. In the beginning of the film, Prince Amleth was excited for his father return from his conquest, later he went though a secret ritual with his father that made a vow to honor. In this movie, He saw many visions that is surreal which is based on Norse mythology. It help him guide him on his journey and keep him focus on his goals of revenge, like when he row his boat from his lost kingdom while repeating his vow to avenge his farther and free his mother, Queen Gudrun.

When the time skip happens, Ameleth grow up and became a mighty warrior who is both savage and cunning. He was pick up by a group of Vikings and was raise by them to be there soldier. Ameleth has no problem slaughter their enemies but doesn't join their pillaging of the village. Later he heard of his Uncle whereabout who is hiding on Iceland and sneak off on a slave barge to achieve his vengeance. Ameleth believe his father is a good king and honorable warrior but that view shatter after reuniting with his mother who was the mastermind of his murder. Gudrun loves Fjölnir his uncle because she was a victim of the kings conquest and was rape by him that concede Ameleth. Shock by this revelations, His mind is full of rage and vow to destroy every thing she love. During his journey, Ameleth met a slave name Olga. She help him on his revenge and end up becoming his lover, despite focusing on his vengeance, he still take the time to love and being Human. Like all revenge story, it ended in tragedy but he left behind a legacy though the children with Olga and ascend to Valhalla
